Discussion:
BT RRE160 pcopying og the parameters

hello everyone,

we bought a few above mentioned trucks, and there was a problem with them standing in the warehouse for a few years with no power, the date and clock wereall scrambeled , but i managed to fix that with can key, and setting the clock but on the one of them there is a problem with clock not running, ok, we fixed the timing chip in the MCU , and now the clock is running, but the parameter 1001 can't be writen, it always goes back to the 0 instead 2, so i have to connect it to the truckcom or is there a way to copy parameters from another CID or MCU from working truck? Because i tried to connect the CID from working truck and it didn't help, and now i have the error 2:004 on the working truck, so is it possible to do it without the truckcom? because i do have it installed , but i don't have the cables...
Regarding the cables i see that it is necessary to have a castor can cable and serial converter, i do have a Peak dongle from Still truck, and it fits to the truck, but it won't connect, is that a special cable or normal can protocol?I would like to get the information from someone working with BT , because i'm learning from the manual and internet and i'm not sure if i have the right information...

thanks in advance!

Yes need the right cable and truck com. But very important you have the software package also. On PC you are in factory permission and can change everything. Copy data etc.

First error 2:004 on the donor truck is due to a parameter mismatch but will not affect truck functionality.

You will need TruckCom and castor interface to copy parameters etc. If you need further info my contact details are on my profile

Fact of the week
Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
