You need to recalibrate the handle bro. Some switch is out of range. Also you can see the switch if dead or not in calibration mode.
I assume you've gotten this going by now, but I just had this same experience. The thing that solved it for me was to turn the key on to the start position from the outside of the machine BEFORE standing on the pedals. Then get in and stand on the pedals as normal and away it goes.
Check and calibrate multitask handle. Check to see if fwd/rev optical switches are working. Also had that condition when the potentiometer on the foot pedal was out of spec
