Crown SP3500:
steer encoder ecr2

I AM GOING TO CHANGE STEER ENCODER FOR THE FIRST TIME ON A SP3500. THE HANDSET I USED ON THE OLDER MODELS DOESN'T PLUG IN CAN ANY ONE WALK ME THROUGH THE ECR2 ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE. I HAVE A SERVICE MANUEL BUT IT DOESN'T GIVE ME HOW TO CENTER ENCODER

Loosen the 2 screws and turn it

whats the trick to moving the encoder at the front of the lift and seeing the 0 at the dash do you need 2 people

Power up truck and wait until it times out. Lift drive unit enough to physically turn the drive unit and line up the 2 lines etched in the drive unit and bearing pivot. Find ECR2 counts through Access1. Physically turn the encoder to zero. Drop the truck and calibrate steering.
