Caterpillar GP40K: Engine cranks & starts; engine can't rev up.

Serial #: AT29C00258

This engine uses a Throttle Pot. w/ mechanical linkage to the Gas pedal.

Engine starts fine, seems like it is revving approximately 800 rpm's at idle.
Step on the gas pedal, the revvs go up about 100 rpm's.
Transmission shifts ok.

There is a red colored light on the dashboard; exclamation point inside of a triangle.

It's the only warning light that is on.

I had the same issue years ago w/ a GC25K, this truck was equipped w/ a 12 pin ECU. I replaced the sensor and resolved the problem, p/n 91165-15800.
