Cat Lift Trucks (& Caterpillar) NOR30:
Horn going off

Hi
I have been working on a NOR30P cat. When you are up in the air the horn will blow when you request travel, but will not when you are from floor to end of the free lift. Truck has to hit the stops for the main lift to start acting up.
Here is what I have done so far.
Replace over mast cable for the horn
Tested horn switch and handle wires
unplugged work lights (I was thinking Ele. noise)
static straps good
I am running out of ideas, so if any one has some thing could you let me know. I will appreciate any ideas!
thanks
Clayton

Showing items 1 - 2 of 2 results.
1 this will happen when ever (off the charger to dead battery) I did change out the battery, with no change.
2 2LL-02150
3 on the carriage (I did have the display do that few years back, so I did play around with it. But that was mostly on the ground)
4 Display didn't show any thing just stayed at battery volts.

4 questions

1- what is battery volts when error occurs? (is battery full charge?)
2- what is serial number of truck (off data plate)
3- where is the display mounted? (on console above steer wheel? or on bracket out on tractor unit at center mast?)
4- what is display showing when horn sounds? (you may have to get someone to watch this if it is a tractor mounted display while you are elevated)
