hyster power steering

Hi i am curently working on a e 4.50 xl serial no co98vo6622y ,,i have a steering issue power steering on all the time from start up ,somebody by passed the switch for initiating the contactor would like a wiring diagram if possible ,and the square unit beside the orbital unit ,steer controller of some discription ,would like the imputs outputs ,,regards damo

good luck

but i must suggest if you have alot of repaired wires in this harness you may want to consider just replacing the harness if its that old and keeps breaking wires.

thanks swoop for that info them diagrams were perfect ,i have a loom thats seen beter days ,i have 4 push on connectors hanging down underneath witch i presume are brush wear indicators ,ill be back on it on tuesday ,battery out ,a lot of wires taped up under power steering motor ,,hey kev hows u ye it has the encoder on the steering any handy way of checking it

has it the encoder wheel next to the horn switch and module beside steering hand pump ??? usually the encoder fails mate

well first off i'd fix the bypass
i sent you a diagram how the wiring is connected to the module and other circuits

also check the pressure sensor and make sure it's not hung up
(probably located on the pump or tee'd into the line)
the steering encoder is also a possibility but unlikely as it's only function is to sense movement and turn the system on).

check your mail for the diagram
