Hi John,

Titus and Trev are right. Try the sensor first they do give problems, usually causing the machine to drive in slow mode.
The display is a seven segment display. The designations are as follows the top segment is "a" and moving clockwise each segment thereafter follows the alphabet, i.e. b, c etc. If there is a fault look at this display and make a note of which segments are lit. I should have list of the fault codes relating to the display.

Hi John, Yes, I have the list with a description for the codes on the display, it's only a paper copy. Do you have a fax no. and I'll send, otherwise I'll have to scan and email which will take awhile.

Hi John,

Had a good hunt around my garage for info found some incomplete notes, Trev B I think is on the right track as I recall the battery lock down pin assy against the driver side bulk head at the base of the seat box dose operate a switch assy and they do give trouble. I think it's more of an adjustment problem some part of the linkage becomes worn, I think you need the battery out and the foot plate up, as I recall I always thought it was a bit of an arkward job to sort.
Also on this truck I believe there is a fault code indicator on the micro pulse board in the form of a window when things are ok a figure 8 is displayed in the form of straight lines with a Decimal point (.) at the bottom right hand corner. When a fault is displayed the point is not present and the figure 8 is incomplete ie if a figure 2 is displayed then the probable cause is direction switch or wiring. Check to see if you have a fault code displayed.

Regards Titus
