Discussion:
Clark EC500-40E going into overload protection

When you tried traveling either direction, would lunge and then not move at all. Recylcing key switch, would do same thing. Ohmed out travel pot and had from 3,000 K, to almost 0 when fully depressed. Voltages were from 9.5 VDC, down to 0 vdc fully depressed. Then after troubleshooting for awhile. Problem went to this, with pedal fully depressed, travel contactor would come in, no travel, would push pedal into 1A speed, no travel, then would slowly release pedal and would lunge, then nothing. Have any ideas?

I thought so too, switches are good. Really could use a schematic. Or service manual.

Pot seems suspect to me. I think it would have a bigger voltage range. I would also check both switches in the accelerator pedal.
