Discussion:
HYSTER/YALE PTO Option

Talkin with NACCO, I get the impression that on the class 4 & 5 trucks (1 thru 3 ton trucks) they are 100% PTO option off the transmission. However, when I talk with dealers/salesman they either say what is a PTO, or no PTO is not offered.

Does NACCO offer multple T/M's by differant manufactures?

PTO means Power Take Off. Some PTO's are used to drive pumps etc. as part of the units standard design. Other PTO's are used to drive some other devise - most often used on agrigultural equipment - tractors.

The confusion is because the PTO off of the transmission is used to drive the Hydraulic pump and the transmission charge pump. There is no option for an externally used pto.
