These modifications- as noted- will need to be approved by the manufacturer. There are a few different ways to limit the tilt degrees. It depends on the manufacturer. There could simply be shims or spacers that are installed on the tilt rod externally and internally in front of the piston. Or it may require a new set of tilt rods (you would reuse the cylinder cans) that are slightly shorter on the end that attaches to the mast and slightly longer at the piston end of the rod to limit the tilt back. Hope this helps.
Dear Forkliftt,
Please let me know how you can reduce the tilt angle if you get a mast ?
Thanks
In the USA a Cascade mast was often used to replace a 2 stage with a 3 stage. I believe Lift Tek now owns the Cascade mast production. As SOMB mentioned- the manufacturer would probably need to be involved with other necessary changes. Namely a reduced tilt angle and also a derated lift capacity with the increase in lifting height.
You need permission from the manufacturer of the forklift, and you need to order a new capacity plate reflecting the changes to the forklift.
