Where and or how do I add water to my fork lift battery. Its a Poer Plus by IBE, Power Plus Performance - 24 volt. Lots of red caps and twist offs up top. Probably elementary but before I ruin my battery I would like some advice. Thanks

I would also like to note that no one should ever attempt to operate a forklift until you have been _properly_ trained, and since one of the OSHA requirements of proper operator training is how to replenish the power supply [either correctly refuel and internal combustion powered unit or correct (safe) recharging and servicing batteries in a motive battery powered unit] I would hope you would insist that your employer provide you with a -full- course in safe forklift operation. 29CFR1910.178(l)(3)(i)(K) and 29CFR1910.178(g)
Add jus one note - if the cell is dry upon inspection add water to the cell to just above the top of the plates. Then charge the battery. After charging you can add water to 1/2" from the bottom of the fill hole. This way you will have enough room for the electrolyte expansion (due to gassing) that occurs while on charge cycles.
There will be 12 battery cell tops, flip the tops up and add deionized water to a level just above the plates or separator on each one. Only do this when the battery is fully charged as this helps prevent over filling. Basically if you can see water in the battery cells, there is enough in there. Over filling is the main cause of premature battery failure.
