linde H40T S/N 352H heating problem.

How a hydrostatic transmission can cause heating?. Im suspecting it can be, truck engine heats in about 2 to 3 hr of operation. Work done:
-head gasket changeg, valves and seats grinded, dimentions verified, inspection of pistons and liners (look fine). timing gear possition ok, power mixture and cooling system double checked.
Any information or advise how to make basic ckecks. on this transmssion will be greatly appreciated.

You should check the model # of the engine. Linde used the 4.236 for a short while and then changed to a 1004.40S.
I have never heard of one of the series trucks overheating. They typically run very cool. I'm wondering if something in the hydrostatic drive system is taxing the engine and causing it to overheat.

check the radiator, where the water circulates. If the person concerned is not never put antifreeze, the steps may be clogged.
