Discussion:
Working on forklifts outside when it 15f degrees

Here's how my day went yesterday. First stop, Yale 10K, "my forklift won't lift". I look underneath and the drive shift to the pump is broken. Jack up machine and crawl under, laying on cardboard that is on the snow. Remove shaft and order new universal joint.
Next stop, "my parking brake is stuck on". Since it was a Mastercraft, I didn't have to jack it up. Crawled underneath, in the snow and removed seized cable. Ordered new cable.
Next stop, "it won't start". Checked gasoline fuel line and was plugged or frozen or something. Got that disconnected and cleared. Still no fuel to carb. Fuel pump bad or frozen or broken or whatever. Took it off. Going to pick up new one today.
UPS is delivering the parts at 10:00 and I'm getting ready to go put these machines back together. The thermometer says 16f.
My wife wonders why I just lay on the couch and watch TV after dinner.
