Discussion:
204 code, machine won't operate

My lift is at a standstill and giving me a 204 "NO HOOD SWITCHES INPUT" message. I checked the switch on the hood latch and it seems fine. Not sure where the hood switch wires go to check the other end.
There is another switch at the front edge of the hood that seems to operate fine when tested, but doesn't get activated when the hood is closed. When I do operate it I get a "no seat switch detected" message. I suspect the wires were reversed to bypass it.
Any guidance is appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. You were absolutely correct! The hood hinge bolts were loose so switch didn't line up.

Adjust or repair the switch so that it does make when the hood is closed. You get the "no seat switch detected" because nobody is sitting on the seat. (either that or you've got another problem switch in the seat)
