Electrical Troubleshooting

Hello-
Need some help. I have a 2001 Hyster XL120 with a dual battery setup. I have replaced both batteries and the alternator.
When they key is in the "Off" position the alternator charging light stays on and won't go off.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Maybe it is the regulator that is apart from the alternator mounted nearby.
The old alternators had no regulator mounted inside.

try disconnecting the small wires at alternator and see if light goes out , if it does your alternator should be checked out or replaced ?
