Pallet Jack will not.turn on

I need help I threw an e card , handle harness and keypad at this pallet jack , I have 24 volts on the battery + and I am only reading 5 volts when I test the battery controller, the display will not light up and it has zero functions I can not find where the #40 black wire hooks in to the battery ground off the controller I believe that is my issue of having a bad ground any input would be greatly appreciated

The etac card needs to be flashed by a dealer. They come empty. 5 volts is the battery constant used by the switches and sensors. There are only 4 wires going to the control handle card as everything is done by canbus communication. If the display will not light up, I suspect a bad display. Does you truck have a key switch or touch pad?
