Discussion:
Wave will not lower

Wave 50 will not lower sometimes. Check all chain and motor cover switches seem to be ok. Installed a traction pod from another Wave and problem is still there. When it won't lower we can't lower it from the service panel also. Any ideas.

Also, always check that the lift pump cuts off smooth by microswitches at the top. Don't let the hydraulic cylinder extend fully. That also causes the platform to jam. This happens when the chains get to much stretch. You have to adjust/change the chains.

To test this lift the platform from the service panel. At the top it should just stop (like you released the button). If it "hits" the chains are stretched.

If the lowering solenoid on the side of the motor / pump assembly is energizing it could be the accumulator is faulty and you have to much pressure on the system for the valve to open or it could just be the solenoid valve is faulty
