Discussion:
Bleeding out brakes after replacing the master cylinder

Hey guys,

I just had the master brake cylinder replaced on a c300-40 clarklift. The rear seal was leaking. It is the one located under right side frame. Now with the new one very little air bubbles come out every several minutes and there is no brake at all.
The old cyl was leaking all the way dry but always worked after refill.
Any help with how to properly bleed it out would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

i use a method on cars/trucks that may help you out. The vacuum method, applying a vacuum to pull the fluid from the master cylinder. Your local auto parts place should have a simple device. I made my own, using an ac vacuum machine, a gatorade bottle and some clear plastic tubing.
