Toyota 42 6FGCOU25 Steer axle rebuild question

in the middle of the shaft of the steer axle there is a ring to be replaces, looks like delrin maybe, but it does not stretch like an O-ring. Does that shaft unscrew in the middle?

Showing items 1 - 5 of 5 results.
You could also check price of just a new shaft from the dealer.

Part number for the cylinder is 43310-U1101-71. Google the part number and you should find several places offering aftermarket.

I knew this was a long shot, there was scoring on the shaft but I cleaned it up with emery cloth and put a kit in it. Still leaks, actually worse.

Is there a place that does aftermarket or rebuilt steer cylinders?

Thank you. The 125F hot water tank was not enough to soften it. 30 seconds in a small can of boiling water and it was just flexible enough to slide on.

Much appreciated!

No, warm it up in some hot water and carefully stretch it over.
