How long does it take to run hot. Upon starting and then hot or after 1/2 hr??? If over a hour , check inch pedal cable adjustment. Slipping the transmission will cause overheating by just losing a few pounds psi on having it adjusted correct or operator is misusing the pedal and riding the clutch so to speak.
