like kevin asks
which sensor did you replace? it had to be the pedal position pot or you replaced the complete throttle body.
also make sure no broken wires are found AT THE PLUG where the harness plugs in on the throttle body. They are notorious for breaking at the bend or just behind the plug connector where the wires enter it. Just give em a nice tug, if any are broken they should stretch or pull out... if this happens just strip the covering back just enough to solder them back together.
In either case if you find broken wires, or not,.... any time you disconnect a component in this system it requires you to run a recalibration on three things:
- Accelerator Released Position Learn.
- Throttle Valve Closed Position Learn.
- Idle Air Volume Learn ( TAS Fast Normal ).
Failure to perform these learns may cause this code to set.
2 of these can be done easily by doing the following:
Note: When performing these relearns you may use the flashing exclamation mark on the
display as a counter at 1 second intervals.
Accelerator released position learn:
a) Turn key switch to the ON position and count out 2 seconds.
b) Turn the key switch OFF and count out 10 to 12 seconds.
c) Turn the key switch ON and count out 2 seconds.
This learn is completed. You may key off now.
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learn:
a) Turn the key switch ON and then OFF.
b) Count out 5 seconds after turning the key switch.
c) Listen for a movement sound at the Electronic Throttle body. It must operate.
If so, this learn is completed.
the 3rd , idle air volume learn has to be done with the diagnostic program diagnozer, a OBD handset may allow you to do this but i have not tried this method before, only the diagnozer program.
