I have the same problem, the alarm chirps away faintly, even with key off, changed accesses also, but customer ok with it.

"Unicarriers - it would have to be for a dual fuel unit also. Usually a bad cam or crankshaft sensor will throw a E-27 or a E-28 code on the dash panel... If it does not light up and the bulb is bad then it will not start also."
