yep....
possible causes for code -48 are 3 rec or 23 snubber
also might want to check the fwd/rev contacts for welding or slow enguagement

but if you're getting the -51 first get that fixed first
possible causes are
- tag lines being used unfiltered
or
- battery cables too long
or could be high peak current in motor so check motor for shorted field windings or armature windings.

those black square blocks are driver modules

this smoking suppressor your talking about might be the result of you manually pressing that contactor in while the faulty component has not been repaired. I would not do that anymore till you fix the problem or you will burn something else up costing you more headaches and money.
