The ECR was delivered today. Trailered by the head dealer tech and the original dealer tech. Two techs from the MCFA factory flew in from TX to meet at my place as well. Initial run test by me reveals unit is much better but was still a little jumpy with initial speeds. Some adjustments on the computer and ECR better still and that I felt was good enough.

For those wondering what exactly was wrong with the pallet jack, their only explanation was the software. A problem they admit from the very first ECR's to come out of the factory in early 2012. They simply missed the sudden speed jump issue, and I was the first to complain about it. In theory everyone but me is using these things at breakneck speed and simply doesn't care or doesn't notice the acceleration jump and choppy traction.

I suppose that is possible but suspect there are many dissatisfied with their ECR but don't know any better, so don't complain. Some probably complain but word never gets back to the insulated factory.

I still find it hard to believe they couldn't see this themselves if all the ECR's performed like mine, as it was abysmal to use...and dangerous.

Regardless, the techs were nice folk to meet in person and my ECR is ok now. Not perfect, not quite the seamless acceleration and joy to use the older version is...but controllable and safe at least.
