Update- Things are finally starting to happen. I emailed Junheinrich in Germany a few days ago. Didn't really expect a response as the only address I could find was a general "info" type email address...plus my email was in English. But somehow my note got passed along to a person higher up in the organization who seems to be upset with the service over here in this case.
So the head service guy in Raleigh, NC emails about the same time with a note that he had been trying to call me for the past two days but got "phone not working" message. (I have had calls from all over the country in that time with no one else having such troubles, so my BS needle pegs the red zone on that one) They want to pick up the pallet jack and haul it all the way to Raleigh so they can test it with the one they have there and possibly swap parts around, then ship it back.
The remaining controversy is that the Raleigh service manager says even when the sudden acceleration problem is fixed, the acceleration will still be in five discrete small steps rather than one continuous flow. I tell this to the Jungheinrich guy and he replies that is nonsense, it should be as smooth as my older unit !
Seems like after all this PITA they would just give me a new one that works properly and be done with it. Now I'm going to be without that jack when I need it the most.... leased my 16,500 sq ft building and need to move all out this month...which involves much pallet jack usage.
Anyhoo....finally a contact on the other side of the Jungheinrich iron wall.
