I have just acquired an old LT40. SN LT 40 10144 C 768. Have pretty well restored the engine to full operation, just waiting for the rebuilt water pump and the old Continental Y112 should be good to go. I do have some questions for the combined massive experience of this group:

1) Documentation - anyone know were to find Towmotor docs?
2) Hydraulics - water in mine. Tips on how to drain, refill & bleed?
a) What kind of hydraulic fluid?
3) Transmission - what kind of fluid?
4) Clutch - is it of the "wet" variety? Adjustment?
5) Maintenance tips from any old Towmotor wrench jockeys?
5) Anyone know how to tell when this thing might have been built?

That ought to be enough to get the conversation started. Any insight/hints/tips/suggestions would be more than appreciated.

Fact of the week
Brothers Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf ("Rudi") Dassler split their shoe company after WWII due to a bitter feud, and established the rival companies of Adidas and Puma. Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
