Hi, first post here. I am an auto electrician servicing the electric forklifts at a factory in New Zealand.
We currently have tracking devices on all our forklifts and are working on connecting them to an app that trigger requests for a service at the correct time.
I am told that our forklifts generate their hour meter readings based on the traction control ECU.
How do we tap into these readings to get an accurate figure please?
At the moment the system generates its reading based on ignition time which means that is very different from the correct reading.
Even if we could find out where to pick up a connection to our tracker box to use that signal for time measurement that would be good.
Thanks in advance :)

Fact of the week
At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
