Sounds like the head gasket has failed at a water port. This would put the pressure into the cooling system. Also, while running the engine, the cap will lift and let coolant flow out of the overflow hose. If you do not have a recovery bottle, the hose could be allowing coolant to leak on the ground. Thanks.
