Discussion:
fast lower in lower mode

New to this forum hopefully someone can help me with this. I just purchased this lift its in really good shape for its age with only 150 hrs on it. The lift goes up nice and smooth but when I go to lower it there is no feathering at all it just basically drops everytime you pull the lever. there is plenty of fluid in it it just seems like theres a valve or something that is stuck and lets the oil return to fast to the tank.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Bart

If you need additional help, just ask, I'm someone who likes to share knowledge of lifts, after 25 years of working on them, and mostly Skyjack, might all well!

Sounds like the down valve is worn out, the valve is located on the hydraulic manifold and is the one with wire #13 controlling the coil. Could also be coil or power to down but most likely the valve. Go online to skyjack.com and download service and parts manuals see if any valves are the same part number to swap, maybe brake cable and coil, then swap, if issue is better order new valve for brake or whatever you swapped

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
