Hey guys,
I'm having trouble with a rear work light that won't come on. There is no power at the connector for the light but there's power at the connector before it and front lights work fine. I've checked fuses and wires and can't seem to find anything that would cause this problem. Is there anything I may be overlooking?

On the newer trucks the rear light will come on without the truck running. The key must be on. The older trucks may not be that way. The rear light has its own button on the display. It also has it's own relay.
As I recall, the rear light works different than the front. Either the key has to be on or maybe the engine running, to turn on. Not like the headlight.
OK, Relay 7 is for the rear work light. It is supplied a turn on signal from the VSM. The signal wire from the VSM is wire 793A. This turns on the relay. The relay closes and supplies wire 781 that runs to the light.
When you say there is no power to connector, did you check to see which you are loosing? Does the connector have negative?
I'm really not sure it's one that was bought and made good enough to rent out before I started here but now it's being sold, so I'm going through everything.
Did the rear light work in the past?
I forgot to mention the light does work. I swapped the original with one that i knew worked.
