General Electric EV 100:
parts

Does anyone know where to get obsolete parts (GE part #'s) which I plan to use in the repair of an EV100 panel? SMH no longer carries the parts I need.
Thanks, Dan

nah they still sell a lot of that stuff
remember they just dont repair cards but entire panels
theyre auth by GE to do so

look on their website listed above by doc
go to the catalog and see if the part is listed
then call up and set up a COD acct, ask for Pam
youll get dealer pricing that way (which is a substantial diff)
call them if you dont see it listed i bet they could help

if not start looking for second hand panels or convert it to a newer control (sx maybe?)

i did a google search on the TP and its avail on the net the pricing ranges wildly
transformer too

some of those sites might be selling through SMH though (old listings)

oops.. justinm caught me. We are working on a C185 panel. You were also correct with the transformer part#, it should be 157B2744G1. I will try to order under that #. Now all I need is to find the 205A7104G1 thermal protector.

I heard a couple of years back that FSIP only does repairs now and does not sell any parts.

Thank you everyone for your help.

are you sure youre working on an EV100?
i dont show those GE part #s listed for the 100

i do find them listed for the old C185 panel (which would explain why theyre not available)

also the transformer part number listed for a GE C185 is
157B2744G1 according to the GE reference not 205A2744G1

the thermal protector part number is correct the crown cross is 76319
transformer part # in crown is 76318

i have a few other manufacturers cross ref's listed as well
if another manufacturer is easier for you to cross

FSIP would be a good place to start (seeing thats where SMH gets a lot of their cards)

hey doc with all your chest thumpin around here i thought you of all people would catch that....

this does seem strange that ev100 -parts- would not be available from SMH/TVH and/or Flight Systems, or the OEM.
is the problem that you only have the GE numbers?
what make model and serial number truck are you trying to fix?
is this "thermal protector" the temp sensor mounted to the #1 rec? (hyster PN 368920) or is it the insultion that goes under the rec or the heat sinks?
is the transformer the big block that has the EV100 sticker on it? (Hyster PN 368912)?
be sure to use thermal transfer grease when mounting new recs and transformer (Hyster PN 1198757).

I would guess I should not offer nusource as the place to find these "obsolete" parts...
