Big Joe 00000:
Old Big Joe Resistor Glowing Like The Sun

I have an old big joe pallet stacker 25-106 and the resistor is glowing like the sun when trying to drive forward and back. Lifting and lowering work without any issue. It barely moves forward and back. The ceramic on the resistor has a few chips. Any ideas?

glowing like the sun eh?
sounds like there is some restriction in the travel causing it to get hotter than usual. If you're carrying a load that would cause it to heat up more than no load but still it would take a lot of strain for a long period to make them glow.
Check your battery cable connections, power cable resistance and connections throughout that circuit. A poor connection or possibly a bad insulator grounded to frame might cause this issue.
