NO FORWARD OR REVERSE?...Gentlemen, I Checked the switches under both foot pedals and all contacts are good and switches working properly. The pump runs , mast works correct, etc. BUT no clicking when I push joy stick to go forward or backwards ? all fuses are good..... I read thru posting that there is a brake switch that needs to release ? how is this activated ? thru the front pedal with the larger diameter black hose underneath? is this a hydraulic line that moves switch thru pressure ? is there a reservoir that holds fluid ? its location ? Is there to test or way to disable the brake switch to chk? thanks for any input guys, greatly appreciate!

thanks for the reply, reservoir was not empty , switches undr both pedals working so Ill check the ones up front now.
thanks again !
Up until the RC3000 came out, that system has a switch under the pedal...and 2 switches out front by the drum/disc brakes. Pressure from the master cylinder activates the front linkage through a slave cylinder. If the reservoir is empty, have another guy help with bleeding the system.
SN is H-11951-3, The black hose looks to be the same size/material as the black hose going to the brake Reservoir, I'm not sure if runs to some type of value or switch under the larger front board? I check the Reservoir it was half full , i topped it off now... as for the electric switches my meter showed that when they are pressed they allow current to flow thru so I just assumed they are both good.. Is that black hose, what appears to be a brake line under the front panel a "Pressure Switch" of some type ? thanks again for all your help on this... frustrating
These switches are hard to check with a meter could you jump them out one at a time just for testing? That hose, could tell me what is at the end? a Switch? Not sure what year you have? Is the floor board one large piece with a hinged pedal and master cylinder attached? what is the serial number?
1Crusader, Thanks so much for responding to my post... Yeah we still have and use this unit. I opened up both the floor boards & check the connections 2 both switches and they were good , i tested both with my meter and they seem to be working properly making contact. What is the Black hose (larger diameter) under the forward pedal for ? I thought it may have something to do with brake ?
Are you really working on a 25RCTF? That's one very old unit. GE 210 system if I remember right. OK so if you're facing the operator position the door to your left will have the brake fluid reservoir. If it's empty you have a leak somewhere. just for testing purposes, you could jump out that switch under the inner pedal connected to the master cylinder if the truck runs then replace that switch. I have worked on only one of these units in the last few years but back in the 1980's they were everywhere and I worked on them daily.
