Discussion:
Nissan Throttle position sensor

Working on a MCPL02A25LV. Wondering if there is a way to adjust/set the throttle position sensor without hooking up to the computer?

Thanks.

I kind of wonder if we might be using differing terms.
are you wanting to set up a new throttle position sensor (on the throttle body), and want to run the learn procedures?
or are you looking to set the accelerator pedal position sensor (which can be done with a volt meter)

"it's not rocket surgery"
electronic throttle control?
no not generally
you might get lucky and hit the correct voltage range the ecm is looking for but usually you have to set those in a pre-determined voltage range before the ecm will allow the truck to run correctly after its pre-start check.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
