Genie GS 1930:
Lowers super slow

hi, I have a gs1930 everything is operating just fine, but when the platform needs to lower, it lowers at a super slow speed. I changed the lowering valve and solenoid but the problem persists. I also have checked the voltage at the solenoid and its at 20v. Is there another area i should look at?

Hey man, thanks for the advice. i removed the fitting on the block where the hydraulic lift/lower hose connects. in there was a brass insert that regulates the lowering pressure. I didnt see any clog but blew it out with some air, when i put it all back together it now lowers at the proper speed.

check the lowering orfice valve located on the block where the lowering valve is.
it shows it being inline with the hydraulic hose connecting to the cylinder inline with the main hydraulic line. If nothing if found there then the cylinder will have to be removed and check the packing inside it.
