yes snapman, i'm currently looking for a job. who you working for? send me an email mate? email below. well done mate!!!!!!!1
Derek,
Congrats here too. Can I suggest you rethink your labor rate. I left Toyota Lifttruck sales almost 12 years ago and realized within about a year that your good customers call because they want YOU to come solve their problems. Cost is secondary. I started at a discounted rate myself but tell myself and others that I did not open up to be the cheapest in town- just the best. I believe value comes from being proficient at what you do, good record keeping, and in our case- properly stocked service vans. Good luck!
Steve
Well done Snapman, you have done good to get another job in forklifts at the minute, hope it all works out well for you
cheers
herald ;-)
Yes uplift still on forklifts. If I hear they may want some one I let you know are you looking.
well done chap, you still on forktrucks?? are they after anyone else??
Good for you Snapman. I read the early post from Sean & the McDonald's thing. He wa totally inconsiderate. When one is know they will be out of work in teh near future or just got laid off, things aren't so funny no matter what shape the economy is in, you are facing a definite "economic depression". The big rut we all are in just makes things worse. And having more years of experience sometimes doesn't help eithr.
But glad to hear you landed on your feet.
Next time you chat w/sean tell him to hold the pickles (lol)
Just a Yank from a former colony across the pond - name after your former King George. Do you want any of those blokes or realtives of them back that were indepted to the King. Of course if they still owe him $$ we'll still keep them.
Snapman is back on the spanners.
not only do you have the support from towmor but everbody from this site one thing ducks you got ????? my hats off to you good luck
indeed, good luck mate. i think there is alot of buisness at the lower end of the scale that is being ignored by the bigger companies.
Thanks for the support Towmotor, will keep everyone informed but looking good as I have my first customer for Monday morning.....cheers
lol, i'd be happy to swap. spending hours down by the river would be nice.
I Was thinking about retiring but I get bored having one day free never mind the next 20 years....
I have decided to start my own company doing service, repairs and thorough examinations.
It's gonna be a bit of a long slog but I think this is the best time to start where I can undercut any forklift company and give a personalised professional service.
A lot of companies are looking at the pennies so I am hoping to go in at 30 to 50% less than current charges as I don't have many overheads and I have the equipment to be able to carry out almost any job that needs to be done.
wow, thats a big area lol. where you working now?
