Discussion:
I want to put cable tv in my Mechanics Workshop, but...

When the economy strengthens, i am considering putting cable tv for the mechanics to have music, news etc because it makes the day go faster and makes for a better work environment.

Problem is i am not sure if it is some kind of safety hazard, ie someone hurts themselve because they were watching the tv while driving or working with the forklifts ?

what are your thoughts ?

When I work on forklifts I go into deep consentration mode so I don't lose my fingers, start a fire, chop my arm off, crush my feet, have the forklift go flying across the room, blow the customers building up, etc. Background music OK, TV no way. If someone wants to talk to me I stop working because I can't consentrate.

The use of "hello" as a telephone greeting is attributed to Thomas Edison. He is said to have suggested it as a simpler alternative to other greetings, such as "Do I get you?" or "Are you there?".
