Crown RC3020-30:
Hydraulics??? Novice

Real novice here.
I let the hydraulic fluid get real low. Just added 2 gallons but the symptoms are the same;
Will go forward and reverse - no problem.
Tilt works.
Will raise or lower - once per hour and then..... When I want to lower, without pushing tilt button it tilts forward. When I want to raise it gives a high pitched vibrating, buzzing / noise and nothing happens. The source of the 'buzz' is hard to pinpoint - maybe the red 'thing' under the key. I was hoping pouring in fluid would fix this - please help.

To clarify - if I wait an hour or so it will go through 1 lift / lower cycle and then freeze up. By freeze up, I mean without pushing the tilt button, if I push to lower it tilts down and if I pull back to raise it buzzes.

L/O Box is "lockout box" Inside are your relays for your function controls. It is located just to the fork side of the SCR panel.

A solenoid valve is an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes; in this case allows (open) and shuts off (closes) hydraulic pressure flow depending on selection from the operator controls.

It's all just nuts n' bolts.
At that time - I replaced the hydraulic filter and added fluid and it has worked fine --- until recently. Now doing same thing. I have filled fluid so that it just today overflowed but have not changed the filter again.
To be honest I've never changed the fluid completely....I don't know what a SOL Valve or L/O box is.
Can you give a little more advise and I do think I could figure this out.
I'm afraid to call for repair because of bad (lieing) experience a few years ago and I don't know that anyone around here has any experience with this type machine.
THANKS!

check the tilt switch button. if it is faulty it will think you still want to tilt instead of lift

Sounds like sol valve sticking or an issue in the L/O box to me.
