Jungheinrich don't need to buy out NBS or work with HC. They have a very good small forklift powered by a VW engine and a rexroth transmission so why would they want to work with HC. NACCO are now looking to work with HC it might be more like Briggs would be interested in SAMUK and change this to UTILEV to give them a low cost truck for certain customers. The only area Junghienrich don't really cover is the 6,000kg - 16,000kg range. i think they are now looking to cover this area some time next year.

I would doubt Jungheinrich would be interested in that crap and they didn't buy NBS out before, he was kicked out by the receivers before Jungheinrich took over.

Are Jungheinrich talking to Hangcha in China about the supply of IC engine trucks ? Mitsubishi closing their plant in the Netherlands leaves Jungheinrich with a power train supply problem. Will they now look once again at buying out NBS in the UK ?

They will need deep pockets to support it to start with. If it is true that Impact are looking to bring in HC trucks and Nacco are to sell Utilev why bother they will just end up losing quite a lot of capital over the next number of years. If they can get exclusivity on the HC product then it would be a good deal.

Got some info from a good source that a Maximal forklift dealer in the UK is buying SAMUK.

In Italy Nuova detas have gone , Companies like the main one's in Europe have seen sales fall dramatically in Europe as a hole , The Chinese are getting better with help from European design team's , So it will be quite interesting. Some companies that have other area's like construction equipment might look at these as main sources of income and put there backing behind these business leaving forklifts behind. I think there will be also a route away from all the electronic systems because of cost's you will find a good basic truck with a good engine will do well again. Companies all over are now saying do we need the high tec and do the extra cost give the benefit to the bottom line. All customers are really interested in is how many pallets can i move per hour for the lowest cost. they don't really care for all the electronics and as long as they are not needed by law they will look at the best cost for value in moving pallets or what ever they have to move. If the electronic's mean they can move same pallet a hour but the cost's is higher than a truck with out electronics per hour then where is the value to the customer. I think the real savings in speed lie elsewhere in the truck.

Companies will have to drive down cost in manufacturing and with the rising cost of steel there will have to be savings made else where. Companies like Linde who have around 70% of sales in Europe based on there own hire fleets will have to look at there cost's. Even with Linde there will be major changes in where their products are produced. These will mainly be in Germany China and Brazil.


I think with all this shake up in three to four years time there will be plenty of opportunity for new entrants to come in with basic trucks and no debt attached to them they could give the big boys a run for there money.



Another area that will cause concern will be the new Emission reg's that come into force in 2014 that mean manufactures will have to use engines with SCR systems in Europe and North America will some of the smaller manufactures who don't sell many trucks in these area's do the redesign work that will be needed Leaving just a small number of companies Like Kalmar , Linde ,Hyster , SMV Kone ,Taylor in this market. They might look at Asian, Eastern European and South America as there main markets.

It looks like SAMUK will disappear , Do't know how the HC deal would work because SAMUK will have exclusive rights on trucks for UK. But with also UTILEV being a HC truck who would want to have them as there will be more competition with the same truck.

In the US Dealers sell many different makes the CAT dealer might also be the Clark and HC dealer this will only cause problems for the manufactures. MCFE might just decide why bother with Impact they don't do as much as what Finning's did.Having said this no one is really selling a lot of new equipment in europe at the moment , There will be many more names disappear from the European manufacturing base.

Heard that Cat dealer no longer interested in buying Samuk instead they are doing a deal direct with Hangcha to distribute HC product in UK.
What will MCFE attitude be to their UK dealer having split loyalties ?

Looking at samuks latest credit rating I don't think there is anything left to sell!!
The net worth of the company has dropped from over 1 million to 100k in a year and it states "significant issues"

i think it would be a dealer that buy's it. I can see Cat pulling out of forklifts in Europe any way , this would just confirm that. Heli new trucks are quite good and i think they will be better than HC.

How much they would be willing to pay for it would be interesting ,The Cat dealer might as well look for something else as they are not shifting much cat's
