Hello all. First time on this forum, it looks very helpful. I am hoping somebody can help me with this issue.
I recently aquired a2008 FG30HT-16 forklift. Nissan K25, dual fuel motor in it.
I purchased it knowing it was not running.
Some history-previous owner says it always started hard(cranked a long time before firing), but would always start. I assume that was a vaporizer/regulator issue.
But then one day, it wouldn't start at all. It is now in my shop in that condition.
Here is what i have learned so far after putting a battery back in it.
It will turn over for a long time and not start. It will not run on the gasoline side either.
It will run for a bit if I spray either in to the air intake.
The fuel shutoff valve does not receive any power at any time during the cranking process, and neither does the injector over by the intake.
I have hot wired both of these items direct to the battery, and i can here them click on, but still will not fire.
When I hot wire the fuel shutoff and take the injector out afterwards, there is a decent amount of pressure on the injector.
My best guess is there are two issues going on here,
1. Vaporizer needs rebuilt/replaced/cleaned.
2. I don't think that is the only issue, as that does not explain why the fuel shutoff doesn't turn on.
Im guessing there is a sensor out somewhere that is not telling the ECM to turn the fuel on.
All relays and fuses check out ok.
I do not have the scan tool adapter(yet) and there is not an OBD II connector under the cup holder, this diagnostic 'port' is under the floor board and is a square connector.
Anybody have any ideas or advice or service manuals or anything of the sort?
