Error code e38 with Nissan engine

I have a Cat 2P6000 with a Nissan engine displaying an E38 code. The lift starts and runs fine until it reaches operating temp. Once it reaches operating temp the lift will still function but only at an idle. Basically, the lift only operates properly when it is cold.
