Discussion:
erratic forward travel

I have an 2008 SJ111 3219. It has a surge problem in forward and to a lesser extent in reverse. It doesn't seem to transition from slow to high speed. It just goes to high which makes it jerk. reverse seems better but still not as it should be. I just bought this machine at auction. My previous unit was very smooth. I have no idea if the joystick has been replaced before. Is this electrical or hydraulic in nature??

Normally pot problem or ramp adjustment off on joystick card, can also be Vickers valve issue. Cheapest way to verify is borrow another skyjack control box. If issue continues with other box most likely Vickers valve or electrical issue in wires #15 and #16 or #59 but if works well with other box...change out joystick...recommend OEM

I have a drive surge issue with my 2015 3226 as well. It surges in forward while going slow. I have not noticed it in reverse. I would like to know what causes this as well.
