Discussion:
Engine cover/seat

We bought this and another model forklift used. We figured out how to open the other one but this one isn't cooperating. I have found a lever next to the steering column but it doesn't release any catch as I've been able to determine. Any suggestions please.

I did you try releasing the lever and then continue to push down on it while lifting up on the hood?

On the one Toyota I have the release lever is about 10 inches off the floor of the truck, to the left of the steering column. There is a lever further up for the tilt steering column.
