Hi
Does anybody know how to determine the age of a Crown based on its model or serial number? I didn't find it on the Crown website. I'm looking at a 30RCTT-190 #1A124725.
Any advice how to tell what a used truck is worth? It seems like a lot of the value is in the quality of the batteries, any way to test those?
What's a set of batteries cost for a lift anyway (roughly)?
Thanks!
Cindi

Just purchased a a RC-3020-30. Serial number 1A232645. Can anyone tell me what year this is??
How do you determine that info ?
Look if you plan to run this unit 4 to 6 hours a day see what you can get the lift for without the battery and invest in a new battery and charger. Your lift will run cooler and less heat means longer component life. I have seen really nice units fall flat on their butts due to a crappy battery. The battery is the key to any Crown.
Your truck is probably a 1970's model with not much value. It is a stand up reach truck with a 2 stage mast. Even if it were 3 years old it wouldn't be worth much because of the mast.
Top right side of the Mast you will see serial number and manufacture date stamped into it. As to what it is worth that all depends on lifting height and age of the battery.
