Counterweight removal help!

Working on a late 1960s Yale forklift model#: G51C040NFS071 and we cannot figure out how to remove the counterweight. The reason we are trying to remove it is because it started to separate from the rest of the machine at the top of the counterweight. We removed (actually broke off) the 1" bolt at the back lower portion of the counterweight (big bolt that goes in the hole in the counterweight just underneath the oval slot for the hitch pin). The counterweight is now slightly loose but will not break loose from the machine. Are there other fasteners or what are we doing wrong? Thanks!

So now that we have the counterweight off we found an eccentric bushing (round bushing with offset hole in it) in the front of the bolt hole in the counterweight. Is it there due to manufacturing differences between the counterweight and the truck frame?

Thanks for the help! We were able to get the counterweight off today. What was holding us up was that when the bolt broke about 1/2" of it was still protruding into the counterweights hole. We drilled into what was still protruding with progressively bigger drill bits until it weakened enough to let the counterweight come loose. I was worried we were missing a fasteners somewhere. Reading your explanation helped us figure out how it was attached. Thanks again!

There are V shaped saddles on the top that the weight fits into so just lift the weight about 2-3" and then it will come off.
