Cost of benefits

How are you dealing with the high cost of medical insurances, workers comp, etc? Are your employees paying for a portion of their cost?

We have helped companies lower accident / illness rates and insurance costs by assisting them in developing Safety Training and Written Plans to instill an active safety culture in the workplace. It helps to lower your Worker's Compensation claims, days away from work and lost time as well as possible insurance claims.

We have passed on a portion of health care costs to the employees. We have been doing that for the past several years. As far as workers comp, we recently joined a captive insurance group to help level our annual premiums and mitigate the rising premiums we were facing in the commerical market.

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
