Discussion:
Code d-98

Hey everyone, we have a cat in the shop that had a plugged DPF, that's not fixed but the code we cannot clear. Driving us nuts.

Pedal dance is a no go, trun the truck on and it requires a password by the time you put the password in its past the three seconds on the pedal dance.

Where is the diagnostics plug on this? Also we tried shorting the disconnected battery cables for 30 seconds same issue. Code is thrown the second the key is on.

Yeah we actually sent it out to a desiel shop who cleans dpfs it was plugged with mud apparently. Not the fist part of the truck plugged with mud either. Anyways got it back did a scan cleared the code and she was good to go. Ran the pi55 out of it to make sure she was good.

the data connector is under the cup holder, however with the perkins engine you need to have the cat adapter 3 and the est software to connect to the engine. you will need to clean the entire emissions system and verify the egr function in order to get that code cleared. also dont forget to clean the pressure sense tubes. the real question is why the dpf clogged in the first place, if you have a aftermarket diag tool with 16 pin j1939 it might connect but thats a slim chance.

Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
