Hello gentleman, we are having a small problem on GLC070...engine starts then shuts down after few seconds, does this 2-3 times then runs perfect after 20 seconds or so...we replaced horn assy and oil press switch, those codes went away...we also have no way of clearing the codes or shutting off lite on dash...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks bill

The diagnostic connector is on the right hand side of the steer column under a rubber plug. It has three sockets, one is a ground the other two are can hi and can lo. The 68 ohm resistor in the PDC is not a can resistor. The problem with the code only showing first thing in the morning is odd. Could be a connection issue.
Also keep in mind this is only a problem when first starting in the morning or been sitting for few hours, then runs perfect afterwards
Thanks so much
Ya found the other termination resistor checks good...68 ohm resistor in fuse panel checks good...found Tranzorb resistor/diode fuse with kinda strange readings...put ohm meter to pins and readings slowly climb...also don't know where diagnostic connector is located...on VSM?
It should be in the steering column. Did you check the resistance at the diagnostic connector? Should be 60 ohms.
Thanks for the reply...installed new fuel lock off, problem still there...found very dirty connections in fuse/relay box- completely disassembled and cleaned every connection...now looking for termination resistors, found one behind battery checked ok on ohm meter but cannot find the other one to check it...any idea where it is located?
Thanks Brewsky
I do hear a clicking noise in rear drivers side of engine as it shuts off, the 2000-12 code flashes as it shuts off then dissappeares
Could be a sticky fuel lockoff valve.
Thanks for the reply, no we have not checked oil pressure with a gage...however the problem completely disappears after 15-20
seconds only when cold
2000-12 is exactly what you stated, it is a loss of canbus communication. You need to check the resistance in the canbus loop. The dying problem could be low oil pressure. Have you check the oil pressure with a gauge?
