Discussion:
Code 17

Lift is throwing a code 17. Book say it either the logic card or h-board. pulled an identical truck into the shop and swapped out the parts to test them. Truck throwing the code still had no travel and the other truck ran fine on the logic card and h-board from the down truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The code is related to the right drive motor field circuit S1 and S2. It could be open or shorted. Disconnect your battery and test the truck side of the connector with your digital meter. Test the + and - to chassis you should have an open circuit. If you have continuity then find your short. You can disconnect the S1R and S2R at the H-BRIDGE and check for open or shorts to confirm wiring or open in motor. You should have continuity across S1 and S2 when they are disconnected. With S1 and S2 disconnected test each to chassis they should be open. If I remember right the right motor is the lower one a little harder to get to wiring. Good luck.

Fact of the week
In 1923, French tennis player René Lacoste was promised a crocodile leather suitcase by his captain if he won his next match. He lost the match but won the nickname "the crocodile" which he had sown onto his tennis attire. Ten years later he launched the first polo shirt and Lacoste, the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing.
