Discussion:
Clark T-04 30w in other transmission

Does anyone have an opinion on using Clark T-04 30w in a transmission that calls for dexron III? It does work, and I have seen it breath new life into a worn transmission. I question the long term effects of running it in a transmission from the beginning. Seems like it might effect other parts due to it's higher viscosity. I am strongly against it but some people are not. I could be the fool and that's fine, I'm just looking for thoughts or experiences from outside sources.

Thanks
Greg

We are using 30W also in a Clark T04 which had stall problems. We changed everything in that transmission and never could get rid of that problem in which you have to accelerate before truck begins to move. It increased the pressure and made it better, but problem still persists. Who know what defects these trucks with that the factory will not tell you. So I would say, sometimes you have to do what you have to do gshort!
